The Girl Next Door (TGND) is Portugal’s independent escort directory: verified, independent profiles in Lisbon, Porto, the Algarve and Madeira — no agencies.
What TGND is (and what it isn’t)
We’re a directory, not an agency. Every profile on this site belongs to an independent companion who advertises here and deals with you directly — usually over WhatsApp. We don’t take bookings, we don’t take a cut of anyone’s earnings, and we never sit between you and the person you’re contacting. That’s a deliberate choice. The agency model in this industry has a long history of murky middlemen, and we want no part of it.
Besides profiles, we publish guides about adult nightlife in Portugal: how brothels in Lisbon actually work, what things cost, what’s legal and what isn’t, and how to stay safe. We write those ourselves, from Portugal, and we’d rather tell you an uncomfortable truth than a convenient one.
How profiles get on this site
Every profile is reviewed by hand before it goes live. No automated imports, no scraped listings. We check photos against the ad, test the contact number, and reject duplicates and known scam patterns. The full process is on our verification page.
Corrections and removal
Found something that’s wrong, outdated, or shouldn’t be here? Tell us via the contact page and we’ll fix or remove it — that includes photos, phone numbers and whole profiles. If your number appears anywhere on this site and you want it gone, every page that shows a number has a removal link that works without questions asked.
Who runs TGND
TGND is run by a small independent team based in Portugal, reachable at office@the-girl-next-door.com. We keep our contributors anonymous for the same reason many of our advertisers do: this industry attracts unwanted attention, and privacy protects real people. What we can be transparent about is how we work — which is exactly what this page, the verification page and the FAQ are for.
