Foz do Douro is where the city stops being a city and starts feeling like the coast, and that’s exactly why I live here. Long walks along the sea wall, coffee that costs more than it should but tastes like it, and men who open doors without turning it into a performance — that’s the short list of things I actually enjoy, and I built a life in Foz around all three, close enough to the water to hear it most nights.
