A rooftop on top of a car park
Park is exactly that — a bar built on the roof of a multi-storey car park on Calçada do Combro, at the edge of Bairro Alto above Santa Catarina. There’s no sign at street level; you walk into the car park, take the lift to the top and step out onto a 500 m² terrace with a 180-degree sweep of the city and the river. It is one of Lisbon’s most famous rooftops precisely because the reveal never gets old.

The crowd is young, international and social, the mix of locals and visitors that a good rooftop always pulls. It builds from late afternoon and peaks around sunset, when the terrace is full and the DJ is up. Guides explicitly name Park among the best bars in Lisbon to meet singles, and the open, mingling layout — no dark corners, everyone facing the same view — is a large part of why.
Drinks, music and hours
There’s no cover. Cocktails run about €8 to €12, alongside Mediterranean snacks and burgers if you want to make an evening of it. DJs play through the golden hour and into the night. Crucially, Park closes at 02:00 and doesn’t open Mondays — this is a sunset-to-late venue, not a sunrise club, so treat it as the start or middle of a night rather than the end.
Practical notes
The unmarked entrance genuinely catches people out, so remember: the car park on Calçada do Combro, then the lift to the top. Cards are accepted and staff speak English. Weather matters — it’s an open terrace — and it gets busy at sunset, so arrive early if you want a railing spot. From here, Bairro Alto’s bars are a short walk downhill when you’re ready to move.
