Manhattan, via Valongo
Motel Avenue is the newest arrival in the Porto metropolitan area, planted on the A4/A41 corridor at Valongo and styled wholesale around Manhattan glamour — the rooms are named Soho, Greenwich Village and Manhattan, and the aesthetic follows suit. Refreshingly, it publishes a clean 3h/5h/12h/24h price grid rather than hiding the numbers in a booking engine.
Climbing the skyline
The classic rooms — including one adapted for reduced mobility — open at €55 for three hours. Above them, exterior-jacuzzi rooms run €80 to €170, and the interior-jacuzzi suites, which add a sauna, run €120 to €290. The flagship is the Suite Clássica Manhattan with private pool, waterfall and terrace: €150 for three hours, €400 for the full day.
Romance as a line item
The add-on packs are unusually structured: Pack Básic brings sweets and liqueur for €20, Pack Decoração fills the room with balloons, petals and a chocolate fondue for €50, and the Refeição Romântica Luxury — a meal, a personalised cake and champagne — lands at €140. An extra person costs €30, and a dance pole and erotic sofas appear in the fittings.
The longer-stay logic
Book twelve hours or more and the house includes Pink Platino sparkling wine plus a continental breakfast for two, which tilts the grid gently towards making a night of it.
