Heaven Can Wait, in the Albarraque area of Sintra between the IC19 and the Cascais coast, is a landmark of the Portuguese swing scene. The club spreads over three floors and is fitted out like a small spa-meets-nightclub: sauna, Turkish bath, dance floor, a group room and a run of private spaces.
It opens three nights a week plus holiday eves, and like most serious lifestyle venues it keeps its exact address semi-private, sharing it once you register. The crowd is largely Portuguese couples with a steady international minority from the Lisbon coast.
