A bookshop that learned to dance
Casa do Livro keeps the bones of the bookshop it used to be — shelves, library lamps, a vintage-salon feel — on Rua da Galeria de Paris in the middle of Porto’s Baixa bar corridor. There’s no cover and cocktails are mid-range. Music leans soul and jazz with live sets alongside the DJ nights, and the back room is where it all lands. Doors open at 21:00 and run to 03:00 through the week, 04:00 on Friday and Saturday, so it carries you comfortably from an early drink into the small hours on one of the city’s busiest streets.

A small address note: most sources put it at No. 85 Galeria de Paris, but some listings say No. 58 — it’s on the same short strip either way, so verify on arrival.
